I took my son and his friend to the zoo yesterday. It was the first time I’d been in years and I picked a great day to do it too…it snowed all day. The good thing is that we basically had the place to ourselves, the bad thing is that I felt bad for the animals and I probably won’t be returning. The tiger and peacocks seemed to enjoy the weather though.

I moved to SLC in Summer of 1984 from Berkeley in a VW wagon, and woke up on the morning of Columbus Day to 18″ of snow. Our 2 week-old brand new Subaru 4WD looked like the best decision ever 🙂
